WOLFSBURG, Germany, Oct 31 (Reuters) - VfL Wolfsburg beat RB Leipzig 1-0 courtesy of Vaclav Cerny's first-half goal to eliminate the holders in the German Cup second round and put an end to their two year-reign in the competition. Leipzig, winners in 2022 and 2023 as well as finalists in 2021, were reduced to 10 men early in the second half after Yussuf Poulsen was sent off following a second booking. The Czech winger should have scored a second goal 10 minutes later when a misunderstanding in the Leipzig defence sent him clear on goal once more but he miskicked and fired wide. Yussuf Poulsen, the longest-serving Leipzig player who this week signed a contract extension, then forced a save from keeper Omri Glazer with a curled shot as the visitors initially struggled with the Germans' frenetic pace. Leipzig are on six points from three matches, three behind leaders Manchester City, who beat Young Boys 3-1. Red Star are on one point, the same as the Swiss side. FRANKFURT, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Germany handed a surprise call-up to Borussia Dortmund teenager Youssoufa Moukoko in their World Cup squad on Thursday as 2014 World Cup winner Mario Goetze marked a sensational return to the national team set up after five years. "Mario Goetze is there. Bayern Munich provided a strong midfield core with Thomas Mueller, teenager Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich.
